Good choice if you want to be organized

What are the best aspects of this product?

If you're looking to keep your files organized, ACDSee is a good choice to make. It is easy to find a specific image out of hundreds because you can use ratings, catalogs, collections, geotagging, custom tags, and a number of other parameters. I am also impressed with how this program makes it simple to rebuild the metadata of a library or share it among multiple PCs, thanks to how easy it is for files to have embedded information.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

While the search function is great, I do think that there could still be a number of improvements that could be made. For instance, I want the search to have another option besides using or when looking for tags because it makes it difficult for me to find something that includes tag one and tag two. I also think they could add an option to search for files that do not have a specific set of properties. Currently, they only search for properties that the files have and not what they don't have.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This software really helped me out in a personal way, because it helped me organize a huge amount of pictures that I had on DSLRs and mobile phones. I had to look at all of these pictures after a fire burned down our house, taking all of our items with it. The pictures we have after that became really important to us and the organizational features of this software were a big help in keeping stuff orderly.
