Adobe Flash Builder is one of the top 3 IDE Software products
If you are considering Adobe Flash Builder it could also be beneficial to analyze other subcategories of IDE Software listed in our base of SaaS software reviews.
It's important to realize that virtually no software in the IDE Software category is going to be a perfect solution that can fulfill all the requirements of different company types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few Adobe Flash Builder IDE Software reviews first as some services might excel exclusively in a very small set of applications or be designed with a very specific industry in mind. Others can operate with an intention of being easy and intuitive and consequently lack advanced functionalities desired by more experienced users. Ensure you're aware of your needs so that you pick a service that offers specifically the elements you search for.

PROS: Since I'm using this mostly for making games, my fave feature is the ActionScript support which wasn't present before. Thanks to this, I can make games in a better, more efficient, and more secure environment. Its cross-platform support is cool too and the emulators for other platforms are very very helpful.
CONS: I have used Flash Builder for a long time now and so far, I have no complaints. Although it felt expensive at first, I think it's a fair price considering the features I'm enjoying now. I have to say, it does use a lot of RAM.
The least favorable review
PROS: The support for ActionScript is a neat feature and it's quite an easy language to learn. Not to mention it's perfect for programming animations. The UI is intuitive and simple enough but I recommend basic development knowledge to use it (Adobe has good documentation). The autocomplete is helpful and the menus are equipped with a lot of tools for animation and editing.
CONS: This IDE has a lot of potentials but it's getting left behind because other similar software, with advanced support for web app design, have been emerging and becoming popular lately.

PROS: The best feature for me is its support for Flex and ActionScript which was absent before. There are new tools as well which significantly enhances productivity. And the integrated Adobe Scout support is great for making games and other apps.
CONS: The learning curve is quite steep and there's no timeline for animation which is a big bummer if you're project is heavy on animation. It's also taking a lot of computer resources and takes some time to load.

PROS: For starters, I like their design view. We are in the opinion that Flash Builder is more competitive than Flash Professional since it gives more animation and design freedom for developers. Its learning curve is less steep and it offers loads of functionalities.
CONS: For animation purposes, the lack of a timeline is a big drawback. This is especially true for large-scale projects that require large-scale animation.

PROS: Flash Builder is an IDE for a variety of multimedia platforms and offers attractive and dynamic browser contents. It's also based on Java Eclipse environment.
CONS: It consumes a lot of RAM so users must have a high-capacity PC to effectively utilize it. Also, there's a lot of issues with the generation of the dynamic page for users so I find it impossible still to create an entire interactive page from Flash. For instance, it can't handle advanced options like databases and forms. This impedes a lot of interactive functionalities such as registering users and creatings portals, virtual stores, etc.

Also, it has enhanced features and tools which can improve the productivity of developers. More importantly, it allows the creation of applications and games for devices that run on Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS. The UI is intuitive too and works in sync with features like autocomplete to allow for faster coding workflow.
CONS: It uses a lot of my system's RAM. Also, it's quite expensive when I first bought it. But now that I've been using this a lot, this IDE has improved my productivity by a significant amount and thus, I now think that the price is worth it.

PROS: My favorite features are the integrated Adobe Scout Support which aids me in developing applications like games. Also, the newer version's support for Flex and ActionScript made the development of web apps and games easier and successful.
CONS: For those who are just starting, they might get confused and intimidated at first. So while Flash Builder is fairly easy to learn, it takes some time to get used to it. But it's worth the investment.

PROS: The best feature is the support for ActionScript and Flex since they are my go-to language when making animation designs and developing rich-web apps.
CONS: Nothing much for me to dislike here. There's quite a learning curve but it's only at the start. But a timeline for animation would be great. It's also system-heavy and consumes loads of RAMs.

PROS: I find the in every UI development, there should be a compiler and debugger and Flash Builder has both. The layout designer and UI preview are great features too.
CONS: Well, it has become stagnant through the years because Adobe isn't making any improvements upon it anymore. Its future is looking bleak, to be honest.

PROS: Being built on Eclipse makes this IDE compatible with us since it offers full support for developing ActionScript and Flex apps for the Android platform. Another good thing is that they also have an SDK which provides support for Adobe products. Our mobile app dev team loves how it introduces us to a new territory of making video games through Flash Builder 4.7. Our experience with their gaming SDK is nothing but pleasant so far.
CONS: I'd say the software is our friend for about 90% of the time. The only problem we're experiencing so far is that we have to bear with the constant Adobe update. The compatibility issue of flash player and the browser we're testing it on is a downer too sometimes.

PROS: When I discovered about the paging and client-side data management features, my process for handling huge volumes of data become a lot more efficient. The 2-way data binding also made common tasks simpler without adding more code.
CONS: Adobe Catalyst, a tool that allows designers to visually make interfaces and forms as well as connect interactions and triggers, was not in sync with Flash Builder which was surprising since this two combined enhances productivity by a lot. Due to this lack of support for other platforms, Flash Builder 4 feels like a leap backward.

PROS: Now that it has an integrated support for ActionScript, I liked it more because it made some of my tasks way easier. Since I was first doing my animation works on Flash, migrating to Adobe Flash Builder is easy and intuitive. Another feature that I'm really fond of is how it's capable of adapting to Android and iOS platforms. Right now, I'm just making games as a hobby and learns while creating, and Flash Builder has all the tools for that.
CONS: I think that both in terms of RAM usage and it's actual cost, Flash Builder is expensive. It has a good free version though. The learning curve for beginners is quite hard too although the vendor website has good resources to learn more about the program.

PROS: Adobe Flash Builder is doing a good job in making it easy to create graphics and animation for apps and games. And since it supports ActionScript, I can easily write events for any object.
CONS: If only it supports Javascript then most developers would be at home using it. But since it only supports ActionScript, those who don't know them must learn that language first.

PROS: When I first started working as a web developer, HTML5 isn't a thing yet. There's the only flash and among them, Adobe Flash Builder is the best. I use it for tons of animation works because it's very easy to build internet-rich apps on it and it's compatible with a variety of platforms. There are amazing utility functions too like debugging tools and auto compile.
CONS: No timeline, no mobile support (apple devices especially), and it's kind of outdated at this point.
