OSSIM is worthy of the investment because it does an excellent job of watching out for potential threats all the time.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I was surprised by how the dashboard looks like. Everything is well placed and very organized. We will be using this tool to help acquire our ISO certification soon.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

This tool cannot be learned in just one or two days. If you are committed to utilizing OSSIM, you need to give your IT staff ample time to learn how this system works. If you have the budget, hire a trainer to walk them through and expedite the learning curve.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

OSSIM is being used diligently by our IT Team to help detect and mitigate all threats that we usually encounter in our work line. We also wanted to ensure that our company gets an ISO certification, so we know that we have to work hard to impress the auditors regarding our existing practices and standards. Having OSSIM as our primary security and network software makes us confident that we can attain our goal by passing the audits with flying colors. Been using this for some time already and we already feel secured.
