What are the best aspects of this product?

What they claim to do is Awesome. Apple represents this as a platform whereby you can effect payments for services in a way that is secure, simple to use and reliable. Unfortunately, none of this is true. Worse yet, while the technicians are polite and capable, if you get transferred to the banking department for help with an issue, not are they completely unresponsive, but they have zero ability to help you with anything. If you ask to escalate the issue, you will not get any satisfaction either.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

None of it works. The ACH transfers can take 1 day or 5 days, they have no way of being able to tell you when the payment will reach its destination. More importantly, they can't even give you a receipt! They can see your transaction on their screen on the banking customer but are not allowed to click on the print screen button. They are also not allowed to reach out to vendors or the people you are trying to pay to assist you with the process. Imagine going to a bank to make a deposit or transfer and the bank teller telling you that they can only give you a receipt a week later. This is what apple pay does.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

I would like to have a banking customer care department that pretends to care. They could care less about the issues facing customers. They could care less about the customer experience and they have no interest in passing along issues that affect customers that will affect many other potential customers to Tim Cook or Steve, the CEO of Green Bank. Apple Pay will be the final nail in Apples Coffin, their partnership with Green Bank is a disaster that will be their undoing.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Nothing was solved by Apple pay. What should have been a very simple apple pay transfer of 9500 that should have been accomplished within 30 minutes ended up wasting my entire day between Ameritrade trying to track the money to Apple not being to even give me a receipt. I ended up wasting an entire day. The money that was supposed to arrive prior to the opening of trading - I sent it at 9:08 AM on April 4th. Not only did it not arrive by 9:30 at the opening bell as it was supposed to. it did not arrive the whole day and will not arrive Friday either. In fact, it will not arrive at Ameritrade until Monday or Tuesday and then has to clear for two or three days after it will be resent back to my bank account, because it is now useless. Essentially, it means that my money will be in limbo for another 2 weeks. What did Apple do about this? Nothing. They could care less. Were they able to at least provide me with proof that the money was sent? No. Were they willing to talk to Ameritrade to let them know the money was sent? No. Were they able to do anything to fix the problem that was caused through no fault of my own? No. Did they offer to pass my concerns about the problem I was experiencing that everyone who is using their platform would also experience to the Engineering side so they could implement a global fix? No. Did they do anything other than waste a day of my life and cost me tens of thousands of dollars? No. Steve Jobs would be rolling over in his grave if he knew how little high paid employees on the banking side cared about the customer experience. Green Bank is a disaster and they could care less about resolving issues.
