What are the best aspects of this product?
The mobile iOS app is the best thing about this software. Bar none. The web interface is fine, but the mobile application is great. Especially the barcode scanning.
I wish I could say more positive things about this software (because it really could and should be great), but my experience has been completely soured.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The customer support is abysmal! First, when we purchased this software we were told multiple times that Active Directory sync (very important to us) was functioning on their end. The first 3 months we had this software this was completely nonfunctional and apparently the feature was in beta! We did not sign up to be beta testers. Asset Panda essentially lied to us to gain our business.
Finally after months of going back and forth with updating sync clients and setting up remote sessions, AD sync worked! It worked flawlessly for about 5 months. A May 18th update from Asset Panda destroyed that and proceeded to duplicate our patrons 9 times each. It is now June 8th and it is still not resolved!
We had not paid our renewal which was due yesterday because...well, how could we with these problems still rampant? Our Technology Director had the invoice, but wanted to see the problems resolved. They then locked our account ON the due date. Didn't even wait until closing hours. 7 AM...locked.
I reached out yesterday to them since I had not heard from them in almost a week. Conveniently, the "fix" was uploaded last night but we can't see it because they have locked out our account since our account was due. Why should we pay to see IF you have fixed the problem? Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
None. It provided us inventory management for about a year, but with all the glaring issues any problems it "solved" caused more problems in the end.
