Full-service text editor with a great community

What are the best aspects of this product?

It integrates well with Git and since it is built by GitHub, it can be trusted as the best text editor. It is highly customizable which allows you to change the interface based on your taste and preferences. It is easily hackable as it is built on web technologies, which allows the web developers in the community to alter and develop new and up to date plugins.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Although an open-source and thus up to date in terms of the plugins, it does not have intellisense. It would be better if it could support such a feature. However, since development of the tool is ongoing, they may consider taking that direction.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I have become a better coder with Atom. It helps me to develop new features for my editor. When it comes to adhering to coding guidelines, this tool keeps me up to date on that. I am able to work freely and more efficiently with this text editor.
