As it is powered by Github, Atom has a lot to offer. It has many plugins to help you make the best use of the text editor. When you compare it with other similar applications such as Sublime Text, Atom is free, offers built-in plugins and a community that is relevant to how well you can utilize the tool.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Although it offers a great platform on which you can manage your admin operations, it can be slow. It occupies a lot of space for your internal memory. If your PC or laptop does not have a huge internal memory, the tool will take a lot of time to launch. This can be disappointing in general.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It offers a community where you can get plugins into your system with ease. Atom has a large community and thus easy to use. Also, we were able to migrate freely from Sublime Text to Atom with ease and take advantage of what the tool has to offer.
