What are the best aspects of this product?

It is supported by a community that is vibrant and updates newly developed plugins on a regular basis. All features you find in the closed-source Sublime Text you will find in Atom. Since it is open-source, it gives developers a great platform to me up with new plugins. It has a simple interface and thus easy to use. You can also customize it according to your liking which makes it look attractive. It also supports Linux OS.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The load time can lag a lot especially for PCs that are not up to standard. When it comes to large files, opening them can be a huge issue. Some plugins can be unstable in terms of functionality. However, Atom has a built-time rating feature that helps you to view the rating of a plugin before you can adopt it.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It has become my primary text editor. Although I still use Rubymine on rare occasions, Atom has made it easier to write codes in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and ruby. It is the best text editor and to add to that it is free and open source. When you compared with other editors where you have to pay to use them, Atom is far much better.
