What are the best aspects of this product?
Photoshop and Illustrator might quickly come to mind when the words "design software" are mentioned. However, I think that the world of design is not just limited to Adobe tools. This is why I often try to evangelize designers on the perks of Sketchbook. This is best for those who have had ample training in drawing in pen and paper. If this sounds like you, then I think that Sketchbook is worth exploring. It has tools that mimic actual drawing materials. It offers templates and vectors to facilitate faster and more accurate drawings as well. This is basically like drawing on pen and paper, but only cleaner and with better scale and fit. The "French curves," in particular, are great for creating curved lines. This is like assisted drawing on a digital canvas. There's also what the program calls the "perspective grids" for cityscapes and the like.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Sketchbook's strength lies in drawing, and so I'm afraid that it lacks support in other aspects. The color grading is not at the level that I need it to be. It becomes necessary then to switch to other solutions after using the drawing board.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Sketchbook is my creative playground. Here I can create anything that I can imagine. It's very easy to transform my doodles into professional-grade designs, thanks to the tools that are being offered here. I often use the symmetry tool, which is much like the mirror tool of other solutions. I use this as a complementary tool for Photoshop.
