What are the best aspects of this product?

It's now easier for us to book both major and elective surgeries because of Availity. Since most patients depend on their health insurance, we can quickly screen or determine if they are qualified for a particular procedure or not. An increasing number of patients have been coming in for consults, and that is a clear sign that our business is picking up.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We are sometimes having issues with the accuracy of patient records and insurance coverage. In cases like this, we have no choice but to give the insurance company a call for further clarification. This process is time-consuming and sometimes frustrating, especially for elderly patients. Although it doesn't happen all the time, it would be best if they could fix this to ensure that all verification processes go on smoothly.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Before, it takes a day or two to finish screening qualified individuals to undergo medical procedures. When we started using Availity, we were able to find ways to improve our workflow. The team has observed that they are now capable of scheduling more patients daily as compared to before.
