Great solution for large companies

What are the best aspects of this product?

Amavar is great product for large companies that have multiple virtual servers, lot of remote offices and hundreds of desk top systems. This tool optimizes bandwidth, it maximizes the storage usage and it makes backup and recovery to all the systems efficiently.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Avamar has some issues with huge databases and with some apps like SQL and Exchange. I believe that there is no backup product that can be effective at backing up every type of data. I often use some basic tools to back up the systems and to store the data on the Data Domain storage.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It helps us to solve the problem with restricted or limited network bandwidth within data protection scenario. Thanks to its advanced file management we are able to perform normal backups in short time and to maximize the system availability.
