What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Hello, I am not normally one to review, but this company is a money hungry company that will fight you on every dime. Find other freelance sights. I have had good relationships with Wedding Wire, The Knot, Honeybook, and Fiverr. I have actually made good relationships and money on Fiverr. I have also freelanced a lot of work out through them as well! Let me explain some issues I have had below.
1. They do not stand behind their products. If you read all of the fine print, and I mean EVERY WORD you will soon see that they cannot guarantee that you will be hired. I am new to the wedding video business, and I first saw that they had a guarantee, so I was not afraid to spend a good chunk of change to hopefully book one client. The tricky part is they make you wait 7-10 valuable days for the second round of credits, and then they will only give you a second round after you jump through all their hoops. Oh and don't even try to disable the auto credits (auto charge), because that will take a few days to figure out.
2. Okay lets talk about what really matters. How is the prospect client relationships on this site? Simply put very poor. The site will normally charge you over $10 per lead, but most leads are shopping around and some aren't even looking to buy. On fiverr I easily convert over 50% of leads maybe over 75% of leads.
3. Now for weddings. I Have had a horrible experience on this site. But is it just me? No. I have had great experience on other sites, and feel like I have just waisted tons of time trying to communicate with the "customer service agents", and even trying to set up a store front. I hardly set one up on Honey book and I have already received more clients. Guess what I am paying? $1 per month for the first 6 with no commitments. I will be spending much more on that kind of service after the first 6 months.
I don't try to normally be an angry person, but this was one of the biggest waists of time and money I have ever spent, and I don't want anyone else to experience this.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
Not charging per lead. More confidence in product.
