What are the best aspects of this product?

It has been able to automate many tasks which we thought could not be done. There is a good feel when you realize that you can easily communicate with teams regardless of where they are on the same platform. Basecamp equips all teams to be on the same page even if they are working remotely on multiple projects. It is never the same when it comes to this tool. Our marketing team is able to connect different projects and check on their progress without much hustle. It helps to improve the visibility of all the projects where you can check the status of each project with ease.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Although it addresses communication and collaboration within a project in a great way, it can sometimes be too much to handle. Communications within Basecamp are ever flowing where teams join in the conversations whether to ask a question or talk about the progress of the projects they are undertaking together. Whichever the case, such communications can be too many in a way that when you ask a question or a clarification from a team member, it might be difficult to trace that response. The reporting feature could be made more intuitive and reliable in such a way that recent messages are easy to find when you receive them.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

When it comes to views and opinions among team members, this tool embraces that and more. We are able to work as a team while everyone is onboard. It is a reliable team when it comes to collaboration among team members. We can now involve everyone on the team when we want to change things like how we redesigned our marketing materials. Since we had to redesign them from social - video - print, there were questions, which would definitely come up. All that conversation around the entire process was well organized which gave all users a chance to point out what they like or give a complement where it was due.
