There’s been a smooth transition from our old program to MicroStation.

What are the best aspects of this product?

MicroStation can work with just about any file format. I’ve used this to tweak some of my older designs previously created from AutoCad, and I’ve been able to do so without much delay. For me, this is a pretty reliable and convenient tool to work with.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Previewing your shading works can be close to impossible. If you want to track your progress, you’d have to constantly switch your view from the design tool to the preview feature just to make sure that you are on the right track.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

The learning curve has been impressively short with MicroStation. This means that we were able to migrate projects into this system in no time. Projects now run much more smoothly and we’ve been able to meet deadlines more consistently.
