What is BIMx?
BIMx is a mobile application for exploring and communicating Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects on handheld devices. The technology allows users to navigate an integrated drawing sheet and 3D building model. It also presents comprehensive building component information.
The latest version of BIMx offers seamless handling and quality performance both for projects with complex 3D models and extensive 2D documentation. The app enables team members to access full construction documentation of buildings, with extensive funtionalities conveniently available via mobile devices anytime and anywhere.
BIMx is recommended for presenting and sharing architectural designs to clients and contractors. Navigation is easy and costs are kept at a minimum specifically with its freemium version, but does not scrimp on functionalities.

BIMx has an intuitive user interface and cloud-integrated workflow to make project management much easier for architects working with building information models and architectural documentation. The technology also gives access to the full 2D project documentation within the 3D model context. Communication is smooth and fast from designing, onsite coordination, and more, with everything shared by architects, site managers, real estate developers and clients.
BIMx can fuse building element information into every portion of a model. A designer can control who can see specific quantities, web links, and database entries using per-element info tabs.
Building Information Models carry huge quantities of information, all of whih can be displayed in BIMx’s element info tags. These are recognized as e-mails, phone numbers, hyperlinks or addresses providing direct links to the corresponding mobile apps. Designers can share information specific to each stakeholder’s requirements, such as model element quantities, external web links, and manufacturer product sheets.
All Zone Stamps on the Floor Plans and Zone Labels within a BIMx 3D model are all interactive. A user simply needs to tap a item to access Zone info tags and add more details related to room finishes and other space-related specifications.
BIMx was designed to be easy to use, even for non-professionals. The application provides smooth transitions and context-sensitive information overlay so that users can move easily between dimensions.
More advanced designers can try BIMx PRO, which has additional features for a more open and extensive information hub and communication system. The advanced capabilities allow users to identify and solve more issues.

PROS: BIMx gives us access to both our 2D drawings and 3D models. It allows us to present to our customers our plans and vision for their space. It also allows us to create a model of the building once it's done.
CONS: There are times when we encounter glitches while using BIMx. Apart from this, we have nothing to dislike about it. Its performance is top-notch and it is equipped with the latest technology for design.

PROS: We appreciate how intuitive the interface of this software is, both in the mobile and desktop versions.
CONS: Improvements could still be done on its UI design to allow for easier navigation of the software.

PROS: BIMx is the only software we trust for 3D modeling. Our experience with using it has been trouble-free so far. We love how elaborate and precise the details that we are able to create with BIMx. We also love that it gives us plenty of colors to choose from for our designs.
CONS: This is just a minor concern, but the software would be perfect for us if only the load time during turns would improve a little.
