What are the best aspects of this product?

I simply love the excellent development documentation. It is automatically generated from templates and offers customized examples with your development key, plan ids, etc. All we have to do is cut and paste the examples and they work smoothly. Our company uses Chargebee’s developer documentation as a guide to do similar work.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We use an odd model to charge our customers and we needed to conjure up some tricks to fit it with Chargebee in 2014. I am not sure if the software is more flexible now. Because of our model, our customers faced difficulty trying to upgrade their subscription. We resolved the issue by making upgrade a separate subscription and managing renewal in a special manner.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Chargebee provides our company the billing and credit card payment infrastructure that we need to offer self-service subscriptions. A major advantage is they take care of credit card data security and we don’t have to worry about this headache.
