What are the best aspects of this product?

Backups are essential for any digital user. Thing is, running backups can take up time and space. Crashplan is that set-it-and-forget-it backup app that works on both Apple and Windows. It's capable of protecting digital files. It can run in the background and its resource usage can be tweaked. The backup can make changes to different destinations including the cloud, another desktop PC/laptop, or external drive.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

In case of an operating system failure, the OS and its apps require re-installation for file restoration. Thing is, Crashplan isn't an ideal alternative for image/clone/boot backups. But the image backups frequency can be minimized through Crashplan via file "snapshots" that constantly change.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Crashplan includes an added protection layer by storing backup in other physical locations. This can be in the form of an iCloud or another PC online. This secures files from physical harm. It's ideal especially if both backup and origianl disks are destroyed in the same room/building.
