
What are the best aspects of this product?
Crashplan is a perfect thing to have for our users. A majority of them won't even realize it's backing things up in the background. That is, until the time comes for them to retrieve their files! It saved some of our users from significant losses. I love their support.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The pricing is too high for my taste. But then again it's insurance. I find it challenging trying to make use of all its functionality. It takes some time to figure things out. Their Legal Holds and Reporting wsa something I've yet to dab into.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We're making use of CrashPlan for disaster recovery. We were able to de-centralize without file storage. So that means relying on CrashPlan in ensuring backed up endpoints. We tried to have our users house their files on servers a number of times. We later realized that backing up the endpoint is simpler than forcing users to make any changes.
