What are the best aspects of this product?
When you're working for a big enterprise as the manager for training and internal collaboration, you appreciate having an assistant like Cornerstone On Demand. For me, it was even more than I expected, but I believe that the extrairdinary configuration that blew my mind did the same to other users and customers. Between administrators, we share that it is a robust, responsive, and intuitive system. The reproting function, for instance, is the best I've seen in my work, even if I am in these field for so many years.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Data importing happens to be tricky, especially for large and old files you're trying to load in historical records. Not all formats are supported either. I also had an issue or two with data validation, but I'm still relying hardly on Cornerstone to perform data loads (other systems are either too expensive or too limited for the purpose). Finally, I'd like to be able to uncheck a checklist once I've submitted it.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I've worked with Cornerstone for a long time, but the product is kind of new for the enterprise. We are still busy transfering few manufacturing certification processes from paper to electronic format, and that's exactly where Cornerstone comes on the scene. Due to its extremelly helpful Certification module, we are finally able to do this without being afraid that it will distract us from more important tasks and activities.
