What are the best aspects of this product?

I like how Boomi works hard in enhancing its UI. This is a critical aspect as the development tool is based on both the browser and cloud. Boomi shows how this is a big priority for them. So far, I'm making the most of their UI improvements. I love certain process can be branched out via custom scripting if its pre-installed functionality won't do.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

In making a point on its UI enhancements, there are plenty of mouse clicks in terms of looking into components and making shape configurations. Thing is, some of these were already looked into. So it's too obvious that there's a backlog of improvements that needed to made by the Boomi developer team. I don't favour how a map has no way in being unit tested (on its own). If there happens to be a way to unit test the map, I feel development would be several times more effective.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I'm working with a team that frequently utilizes Jive, Coupa, Salesforce, and Workday. A majority of Workday integrations contain a generation of a flat file that Boomi is effective in doing. Otherwise, Salesforce and Jive integrations would involve utilizing highly effective web services. The advantage with Salesforce connector is being able to utilize web services with little coding involved. Software query operations are simple and other operations are a lot simpler.
