What are the best aspects of this product?

The best thing about Documentum is its reliability. It boasts of impressively robust functions that meet the requirements of my team. It has plenty of room for personalization too--letting me set my preferences quite easily. When it comes to working with other software, Documentum delivers well in this department too. Searching through the files are no longer as tedious. In fact, this feature alone sets Documentum apart from all other similar solutions.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Without a doubt, Documentum is a superior program compared to its competition. However, because of the myriad of features packed into it, the price has also hiked up. It has become too pricey that some of our partner companies have begun looking for alternatives to it--may be less packed with features but within budget.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Again, the main selling point of Documentum is its reliability. We use this because here we can rest assured that our files are protected and that we can easily save even our most classified files without it being compromised. Collaboration within this program has been relatively seamless too--passing documents for approval and editing has been a breeze.
