PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

First of all, I agree with most reviews saying that this tool is user-friendly. I was able to learn it very quickly. Second, I think it’s great how it allows the admin to restrict access to certain documents. It is through this that we can rest easy in knowing that some of our more classified documents are protected. Getting approval is pretty efficient in this platform too. And finally, I love how it saves versions of a document so we can easily trace the changes that have been done to it.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It must have been the Documentum package that I purchased, but I was not able to locate the feature that would allow me to keep track of my customer journeys. As far as I can tell, lifecycle documentation isn’t available yet.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We used to have trouble in keeping track of the latest versions of a document. This issue has been solved quite easily by Documentum, tagging the latest file at the very top of the pile so we can easily pick it up and review it. Needless to say, this has eradicated the possibility of sending the wrong version to our clients and to our higher-ups. Keeping track of the edits done on the files are an added bonus too.
