What are the best aspects of this product?

CA Flowdock gives you a lot of options to add other sources of information: Github, email threads, monitoring, etc. Using multiple channels, it's easy to "lurk" in channels you don't often actively participate in, but want to be informed.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

You cannot search private 1:1 messages. It would also be nice if it was easier to see co-worker's status.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Problems are being distributed team that needs to be able to communicate frequently. Everyone can search for information talked about months ago, easily catch up and stay informed.
