GoldMine is a very cost effective software that is ideal for companies that are just starting out compared to other popular cloud-based CRMs. With the low cost to start out, one can easily realize significant retursn as it can be installed, trained, and implemented in just a day, making it a must have for small businesses.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

While it is an awesome software, it lacks mobility. Many businesses are now moving forward because they use applications that can be accessed from the phone. GoldMine may have add-ons but they come at an extra cost.
