A great tool for school use

What are the best aspects of this product?

We have more than a hundred thousand students in our school district and Cognos was able to handle all their data including school data. Undoubtedly, Cognos Analytics is a powerful platform. Aside from managing our data, we also utilize the platform for reporting. We can acquire significant data which have helped improve our decision-making.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I admire the power of this platform but just like any other software, it also comes with some disadvantages. One of which is the learning curve. New users without experience using other BI tools may find it difficult to learn how to operate the system and make the most out of it. The platform’s appearance is also a bit outdated. A little update and upgrade won’t hurt.
