What are the best aspects of this product?
It has increased our workflow between departments and within. We are able to collaborate as a team without much hustle. With seamless support for all our design and marketing works InVision has given us a lifeline on that part. We are able to cut on the time it takes for the design and marketing teams to collaborate on a project. The prototyping aspect of this product is impressive. It allows all the teams to see how a project will look like in terms of the pages before it is actually built. With that kind of exposure and visibility, we cannot ask for more. InVision is a must have product for any company, big or small, involved in design.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It is a comprehensive tool and I love every bit of what it has to offer. However, the cost can be overwhelming as the price is not fixed. You have to pay based on the features you are using. This can be costly on my part and for those with small businesses and want to utilize most of the features this product offers. Also, some of the people on my team may not receive this application well. Most people are resistant to change and this can bring problems when implementing this product into your system. All in all, the above are just negligible when compared to what heights you can scale using InVision and I am happy in general.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
It was all time consuming and tiring when it came to creating promotions on our pages. We had to do promotions every year which was not easy. This is because we had to plan for meetings and plan on how the promotions would look like before we could actually build them. As a result, it not only took a lot of time on our part but resources not to mention the effort. With InVision, we have been able to cut all that long process and produce a prototype of those promotional pages before we can actually build them. This means that everyone on the team can view how the pages will look like without having to plan for multiple meetings. This has helped to streamline the workflow and thus more productive in our work.
