An excellent Java IDE for general use

What are the best aspects of this product?

The first thing I noticed about this is its ease of use and how quickly it connects with another Oracle product, ADF, to enable quicker and seamless development. On top of that, there are numerous plugins and it has an SQL developer client, too.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The interface is slow to respond during searches. Plus, though this is understandable, this is mostly centered around Oracle.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I previously worked on a project for a client that required the extensive use of Oracle JDeveloper. For every update on the client's database, the IDE responded wonderfully and we had the option to request assistance from Oracle support team whenever we had issues. After that though, the application was migrated to another platform but retained the Oracle ADF license.
