What are the best aspects of this product?
Thanks to Jive we don’t have to use Outlook mailing lists or keeping track of users and changing owners or even to remember the name of mailing list. Jive is great employee social collab software, it connects departments, groups and people. It’s similar to Facebook, because there are options to share information and to interact with others. There is “follow” option if you want to receive notification of specific department, group or person. It is extremely flexible when it comes to getting infomation because you can choose which information you want to receive. It offers great set of features so you can set up the system the way you want.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I haven’t run into something that I might dislike. It took us some time to adopt it because some of our members were not familiar with social media and it was a bit challenging to adopt the tool.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
It saves us lot of time when it comes to sharing information and interacting with others, we don’t have to deal with hundreds or thousands of mailing lists and to figure out how to add or remove one. Now everyone may choose which type of notification they want to receive, which department want to follow, they are able to manage their own dashboard. Information is easily spread across our company thanks to Jive.
