An ace of a program for every start-up.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I've been dreading the whole financial planning process, and LivePlan has managed to take a load off my shoulder. I found it just as I was about to start crunching the numbers for my monthly and yearly projections, and I've been able to generate a full report (projections of up to 5 years) in just a matter of hours! It helps me come up with just about everything I need--from balance sheets to cashflow to income statements. I love how the program really pays attention to the seemingly little things just to give me an accurate projection. It asks me questions about the nature of my business, what I sell, how many units are sold per month, etc. From this information, it gives a projection and drills down to the details every month as it learns more about my business. The business plan itself is easy to understand. They're marked properly and I can customize it any way that I like. I've been able to share the plan with some of my investors without fear of them accidentally editing some cells of my presentation. I recommend this program to all start-ups.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

As far as I know, LivePlan still doesn't allow business plan to be exported in Excel version. I've managed to find a workaround on this by exporting the file on Word and then simply cutting and pasting it on Excel.
