What are the best aspects of this product?
For a relatively new player in the market, I find Majestic really impressive. It can store volumes and volumes of backlinks in its database, plus its reporting features are great too! It also offers an alternative to Google Page Rank, which in my opinion (although I haven’t truly explored the configurations) seems to be more accurate. It’s very convenient with Chrome adding this as an extension option. Now, that start-up time has been trimmed down and I can launch the software with just a click of a button. The dashboard translates well on mobile too—great for on-the-go updates.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I use the Google Disavow to filter out unnatural links from my site. However, Majestic makes this task a little harder for me because it cannot readily identify “spammy” or duplicate links versus the healthy ones. It would be nice if Majestic would prompt you whenever a bad link gets uploaded on my site.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I think it’s important that the pages that I choose to put up my ads on are thoroughly vetted—and Majestic helps me out with this. There’s Trust Flow and Citation Flow that are now quickly becoming indispensable tools in my toolbox.
