Best GIS Analysis tool

What are the best aspects of this product?

This product makes it possible to perform sophisticated spatial analysis with almost no training. Each version of the product has continued to improve and more analysis tools have been added to the package. Maptitude has always been the best buy of all GIS software, but the continuous improvements have ensured that it is as powerful today as it always has been. Maptitude has the added benefit of converting files between types of GIS software perfectly. The incorporation of imagery is now essential and very welcome. Maptitude is a critical spatial analysis tool. There is no better, more stable GIS software.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I did not like the new location of the layout option on the menu.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

The routing has always been a strong point for Maptitude. I would like to see the routing toolbox option without the turn by turn directions so I can more easily use it for rail layers. I would also like to see the results of the shortest path route available for export.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This product enabled my company to understand the location-specific consequences of several Federal proposals and to make comments on those proposals, which ultimately led to significant changes. Maptitude enabled us to produce high-quality maps that were critical persuasion tools used at all levels of government and the public. There is no comparable cost-effective product we could have accomplished the same result.
