Maptitude: Value-Packed Business GIS Software

What are the best aspects of this product?

Maptitude has always had an excellent and intuitive user interface. More recently, in the last 2-3 years Maptitude has really increased its analytical depth, with a number of new statistical and facility location capabilities. I have used Maptitude for over 20 years, and I can say from experience that it just keeps on getting better.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

In the past, Maptitude's analytical depth left some to be desired, but recent updates have mostly fixed that.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

A robust Huff (consumer choice) modeling would be a great addition, but I understand that may be on the way soon.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I've used Maptitude in the past for market and customer analysis applications (when I was in the consulting world). Since I re-entered the university setting, I use Maptitude for my business location research program and in my business GIS teaching. I am using Maptitude this year to introduce facility location modelling. Maptitude is powerful enough to handle all of my business location research and teaching needs.
