What are the best aspects of this product?

The software is very easy to use-- even a first time user can make nice and informative map very quickly. Maptitude comes bundled with lots of useful data.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

This software is quite mature; I haven't encountered any real problems.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

I'd like to be able to place additional types of graphics (e.g., .eps) in the layouts (what some packages such as QGIS call the Print Composer).

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I don't work for a company, but have used this product to assist local government and nonprofits better target their resources. For example, we mapped crime data provided by a local police department to identify "hot spots" of gang-related crime. We then overlaid other data on the maps to help the police department select a target area for a new anti-gang crime initiative. We then used a list provided by another county department to find community leaders who lived or worked in or near the selected target area so that the police could engage in outreach.
