What are the best aspects of this product?

This tool has proved out to be the first tool that I’ve ever used, which is an all-in-one solution for the management and planning of the projects or resources. It is a collaboration tool for both internal and external projects. It is an open source solution which has been incorporated with Salesforce, Jira, Google Drive and Calendar, Quickbooks etc. which are already being used by us and this tool has managed to curb all the limitations that come from these competitors. As a director of Project Management, things have been made simpler for me with the help of the insight tools provided by it and I can smoothly manage the operations in business.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The integrated Google Calendar has proved out to be a little troublesome these days, stopping us from using it as we like. In the invoice, Partial Payments from the clients are not allowed by this tool. Also, it is also not allowed to pre-bill a client on retainer as it makes the data unsteady.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

The allocation and planning of resources was messed up a lot before we switched to Mavenlink. This is a great tool to see the utilization in percentage, by each department, person, BU etc. The work layout is somewhat similar to that of the MS Project which I was using for the last 10 years but Mavenlink is far easier than that. The weekly view of resources in the calendar schedule is much better than looking at the Gantt chart and this is admirable.
