What are the best aspects of this product?
I am impressed by the following: Seamless maps integration for geographic reporting, graphic design starting from V9 onward, and the way MicroStrategy handles hierarchies compared to other apps.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
A couple of issues: My desktop sometimes freezes when editing metrics or attributes. The architect visibility becomes a pain when there are plenty of tables in a project.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We use MicroStrategy to create VI dashboards using ESRI maps. They offer an intuitive way for users to access and visualize their data, and drill down to details. The app offers excellent analytics to users through drill down. We can get better insight on data for different business units such as logistics, sales, finance, etc.
