What are the best aspects of this product?

The following features are excellent: Performance tunning, link mechanism, thresholds on metrics, Vldb settings, filters and prompts, custom groups and consolidations, transformations, widgets, easy data modeling, analytic dashboards, and mobile dashboards.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I would rate the following as drawbacks: I am not able to apply thresholds for attributes, smart metrics do not work as expected from cube reports, the system does not support flash technology on desktops, intelligence cubes do not have derived metrics, reports have limited rows when run on desktop, finally, I am unable to fix metric headers.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We are using MicroStrategy to create dashboards and reports for analyzing different data flow. We use the app to create time-based reports.
