PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

I love that the infrastructure is robust. I can link to multiple data sources and combine the data easily. Plus, it is easy to distribute data and I can exercise great control over data personalization.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It takes too long to develop and build anything. Also, the integration of Visual Insight report with IS Server report is unstable and doesn’t work always.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We use MicroStrategy as an enterprise reporting app for the following business units in our company: analytics and reporting team, transaction processing, member service, accounting, treasury, and finance. We are using MS Dynamics CRM but it has limited reporting features. Therefore, we are using MicroStrategy to report against CRM replicated database to provide support to the fitness scheduling and lead management systems in CRM online.
