What are the best aspects of this product?

Moosend has a simple but intuitive interface along with robust features and reasonable cost. It comes in an affordable premium version or one that is totally free. So, you can pick one depending on what you can spend. We had consumed a long time when setting up Moosend, but we are happy with the result. The platform works smoothly, which is great in speeding up our processes. It helps us produce highly satisfactory results consistently too. The company behind the Moosend platform is also wonderful especially that they share the same principles and culture with many of our own. They consistently send helpful guides and tips through regular newsletters, they set up online FAQ pages, forums, and training, as well as provide complete info about pricing. The guides and help we receive are very useful in optimizing our use of the platform, as well as for sorting out some issues when running a marketing campaign. Noticeably, Moosend is also very user friendly. This is evident right at the setting up process because it guides a user through a step-by-step tutorial in coming up with an email marketing campaign. This is before a user uses the platform for communicating with actual people, which is a big help for newbies. Moreover, its UI offers clear WYSIWYG functions, so beginners can use it hassle-free.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There are features in Moosend that are difficult to use for beginners, such as creating a website sign-up form. It doesn’t come with any mobile app version too, whether for Android or iOS. Such a mobile app would be very useful for paid or free users. Additional data metrics would be helpful as well, such as determining the best time to send newsletters and how much time it takes to know when a receiver opens an e-mail. Other advanced functionalities should be enhanced too. For example, I’m pushed to use their own online form creator, which means I need to learn its function. This is somehow a hassle for me, especially that I already have an existing online form. I hope I can simply insert a custom link to my own form. Another issue I’ve observed is that Moosend doesn’t allow me to completely delete an e-mail from the list. It only allows me to deactivate e-mails. Although, this is not impeding our operations in any way. The WYSIWYG feature is also somehow restricting the things that I want to do on the platform. I am an advanced user, and I think that the UI is too simple that it fails to meet my skills. Yes, this is brilliant for newbies, but I hope there’d be customization features to suit advance Moosend users. I am also curious about the plans of Moosend developers about the platform’s improvements. For example, I am curious about the features they are planning to release, their strategies for scaling the tool, as well as their development layout among other details. Statistical data about the platform’s uptime and downtime would be helpful too. Lastly, better flexibility in terms of pricing would be amazing too. Say, offering a small startup company a premium version but with up to 50% discount for a year. This is to apply the regular rates at the right time when such a company has already scaled.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Moosend has helped me start my e-mail marketing campaign, and it has actually guided me on how to execute a successful e-mail marketing campaign too. I haven’t optimized the use of Moosend for now, but it is definitely increasing my number of registering users. This is really wonderful for our company especially that it is satisfying our needs without making us pay large sum of cash. That’s why I want to optimize its use and begin leveraging on its advance functionalities such as its e-commerce tools. Moosend is also scaling my rate of customer retention by helping me improve communication with customers. The key is, it is helping me have the email address of customers, which is an excellent way of directly contacting them. Today, I do not need to rely on social media posts while hoping that my targeted audience would coincidentally see them.
