What are the best aspects of this product?
We’ve found NEO to be very intuitive for students and teachers, while providing plenty of access to advanced features. The quality of the basic templates and settings means that instructors don’t need to be designers to set up the classroom, but professors who want to play will find plenty of opportunities. It also provides plenty of flexibility for many kinds of class experiences whether online, onsite, or blended. The number of extra features and intuitiveness of the system make this an excellent deal for the school budget (we’re a small two year college) and low maintenance for many LTI integrations.
The response time of the support team is also notable.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
If you’re looking for lots of LTI integrations, you may find mixed results as NEO is still on 1.0. An upgrade is on the Fall roadmap. Administering the accounts is pretty straightforward, but you will want to use the trial version to determine if the account setting options are robust enough (they are for us).
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
Aside from the LTI upgrade and more documentation (features get added/upgraded pretty rapidly), we’re satisfied with what’s already offered and feel new iteratations appear frequently enough to keep this fresh.

We moved to NEO after having spent a few years with smaller services linking different features together. NEO provided a low-cost but robust solution to managing students and teachers while providing a centralized location for record keeping and teaching/learning.
