PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

I stopped using tapes as soon as our organization decided to implement NetApp Backup and Recovery. It has been several years now and I still am in awe of the Snapshot function because of its extreme reliability.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I would like to see more reporting tools related to the snapshot feature. Moreover, the manager interface is not user-friendly, though SnapProtect is worse.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Our IT team has an easier time dealing with recovery because we can choose individual files rapidly. The experience is the same when we are restoring our virtual machines.
