What are the best aspects of this product?

We successfully implemented NetSuite in our small business making use of the website, inventory, manufacturing, and accounting features. The app offers all data in a single place which gives us good insight into purchasing, marketing, sales, customers and more. It can be easily customized to do anything. However, this can cost you some money.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

NetSuite can be difficult to use without the help of IT or a consultant. Other accounting apps may be easier to use, but they are not as flexible or robust as NetSuite. You need to customize the app to make the most of it. The advantage is you can the fit the app to your needs and not vice versa. Some users say the interface is old fashioned and clunky. I admit the interface is not attractive but this is because of the customization capabilities. In comparison, Quickbooks’ interface looks more attractive, but you cannot add new fields and rearrange the fields on the Quickbooks screen. You can do this with NetSuite. To sum up, NetSuite is not pretty, but it is a great workhorse.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We used to use different apps for accounting, order management, and website handling, and they were not linked properly. NetSuite offers all that we need in one place. It offers deep insight that we use to expand our business. Plus, the app is scalable and can easily meet the growing demands of our business. It takes care of our infrastructure needs and enables us to focus on expanding our business. We work less now but more effectively and efficiently and the app has also boosted the quality of our customer support.
