Dynamic Syntax Highlighting switches depending on the position in the file. The Auto-switch feature avoids overcrowding the lines of code from multiple languages. Multiple Language Syntax Highlighting allows separate highlighting for different languages in the same file, with everything fully configurable in PhpED’s settings. An Auto Highlight variable highlights all occurrences of a variable in the Editor when PHP variable is selected. Open/Close HTML tags are also identified. These features help users focus on the code and the language that they are currently working on so that they could code more precisely and effectively.
Code Folding selectively hides and display sections of a file that is currently being edited. Collapsible regions of the code are marked with folds and works for PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other.
Fast Search capabilities allows modal non-blocking search in the background, starting from the top after full cycle. A Fast File Open retrieves a file in seconds even if it is obtained from multi-thousand files projects. These help users save time so that they could get more work done.
A Diff viewer presents a side-by-side difference between the file in the editor versus local and remote copies. Worksets features makes multiple snapshots of a current Editor context and switches it to and from them at any time. These allow users to review codes to ensure quality of work.

An advanced PHP Profiler displays executing time for each line, function or module of the code with tenth millisecond’s precision.
