PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

It helps us streamline order and inventory processes. Kitchen loss is minimized, delivery is more timely now, resulting in more accurate stock-ins. I can predict item in and out with more accuracy, reducing variance at the end of the day. Overall, I'd say it helps us to provide our customers with better service especially in terms of having a full-board menu every day.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The learning curve is a bit high for some of my staff, especially the older generation. It's an Oracle product, I kinda expect that, but navigation can be greatly improved. It's hard to look for customizations and other tools. Getting a robust system usually means more complex on-boarding. It's a price we have to pay for the features. The vendor is on hand though and ready to walk you through the system.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It made work much simpler for my staff. They are more efficient. Having a centralized system sort of made them feel interconnected like they belong to one organization, so what they do (ex. kitchen staff) is connected to what others do (ex. inventory). With this level of visibility, everybody becomes a team player. On the customers' end, they get faster service and more accurate servings.
