What are the best aspects of this product?

Truth be told, nothing beats Photoshop when it comes to professional photo editing. Paintshop Pro may not be a peer-to-peer competition with the said program but it also helps you get your job done. It is powerful enough to be compatible with 360-degree cameras. It also offers interesting and really helpful tools like face detection technology and capabilities to optimize photos for web use. And compared to Photoshop, it is more straightforward and easy to use. It has a dynamic and simple interface. Lastly, it is less costly.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It does not have a Macromedia Fireworks feature, which is a tool exclusively dedicated to the web. But since this tool is, I think, more for the design and not specifically for optimizing images for web use, this is understandable. But it would be better if the said tool will be made available.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Our team uses this image-editing software every working day to retouch images for our training manual as well as for our website. We prefer this because of its ease of use and speed. Although its optimization tools are not the best. It may not be as good as the leading software available in the market today but it also got really good properties which are probably why many people still choose to use it.
