What are the best aspects of this product?
It is simple to use when you get started. Creating a video with the Panopto Recorder software is straight forward, or you also have the option to upload a video file to the service. Watching a video is even easier, because all that is needed is an up-to-date web browser. No extra plugins or downloads are needed.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The Panopto Recorder software has given some users trouble. The video editing features in the web portal are not overly advanced.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
More features with the browser editor, a recorder option from a web browser, improved auto-captioning.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We utilize an integration with an LMS, Brightspace by D2L for lecture capture. We also use Panopto videos for training and meeting storage.
