Paypal Card Reader : Customer service is unreachable

What are the best aspects of this product?

Presumably, it will help with the business of my husband so he can accept eftpos payments. So we purchased after doing all the other instructions. However, when we tried to log in to paypal here, it won't allow us saying the identity of my husband will be confirmed. So I messaged the message centre twice (because there is no hotline on the Paypal website). Finally I managed to find the 1800 hotline and no one will attend.
So here we are wasting the $99 for a totally useless card reader, and no one to help us. there is not even an option to return the product so we can get one from another company.
Customer support is out of reach.
