What are the best aspects of this product?
This helped our small facility go paperless. We use laptops inside patient rooms so we can communicate wirelessly. We don't need to have the doctor present at all times. This helped us deliver services accurately with speed and ease. Our nurses and scribes used the program for documentation and they seemed to love it. It integrated many things under one roof. We do billing, imaging, and EHR among other things in Fusion. The patient portal feature is also a plus. With Fusion, you don't need to switch between programs.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The program is quite slow when loading images. It is not the best at its lab feature as well. Sometimes, we did get complaints from patients as they could not access their accounts on the portal.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We used it to streamline processes so that we can go paperless. Our medical record charting and the billing process have been done in Fusion. It helped us verify insurance information faster as well as patient data. Fusion is definitely an upgrade from paper charts and old computer systems.
