What are the best aspects of this product?

I can easily connect back end databases of all types, I can scrub data and create specific sort and selection fields. QlikView allows you to use it for free, to taste it on your own at zero cost. You are provided with many trainings and videos even on YouTube, so you won’t have any problems with using this software. You can do 100% of your job. Very useful and powerful tool.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I need to add macros manually instead to add in QV automatically. For e.g. I need to export A CSV file of a table directly into QlikView, it takes 3 lines of code in macro screen, and the trouble is that the app won’t execute macros with the console automation. I would like to see some improvements for this issue.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

QV helped us to transfer data from old systems to new ones. The transformation is very easy, all you need to do is write the outputs for all tables into the new fields with new names, use files to test them and then you can do the import. The tables can display in graphical and numerical view. Also, we can connect the QV with XML, Excell tables, Mongo, SQL from all sources, we are allowed to rename the files, scrub and display for analysis.
