A workflow tool that’s relatively easy to use.

What are the best aspects of this product?

At work, I use ClearQuest to keep track of work requests and changes. The tool helped targeted persons to receive notifications and approval requests. Notes can be added to requests on the fly and approval (tiered) can be changed. I like how I can create my own queries. Query creation is intuitive and there's never a need for documentation consults. Mandatory fields ensure all needed data is given when a specific criteria is met.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There's nothing much to not like with this tool. Installation is a bit complex and it took a bit of time to make it perfect. We had to go through a lot of reboots and the script was surprisingly challenging. It took us awhile before we finally mastered deployments via SCCM.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

At work, ClearQuest was used for tracking work lifecycles beginning with work request creation and finishing with change requests. With the tool, we have the ability to make work priority management while insuring buy-in or approval. ClearQuest enabled us to insure the work being done meshes with expectations for each client and changes are documented and approved by stakeholders.
