PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Its admin interface is simple to get around. There plenty of useful alerts. Its browser integration for reporting frontend JS errors is handy. Taking down items within commits is really cool. In terms of backend, it's dependable in tracking after production.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We keep our JS bundled. So certain stack traces reports are difficult to figure out. It'd be cool to have a Pretty Print and simply take a chunk at those causing the error. It'd be a bonus to have JIRA integration in assinging an issue automatically to an individual who last accessed the file (from which the error was from). Even if its interface is simple to navigate, I'd be happy to see further product functionality.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

To minimize transparency from our end, we searched through alternate solutions. We even went as far as rolling out our own solution. But then we realized how Rollbar is capable of monitoring and reporting frontend errors. We now understand that Rollbar can run in our staging environment. It can capture errors way before they end up in production.
